Fundraising at Interbay Little League
Fundraising throughout the year is vital to helping Interbay Little League continue to make improvements that benefit the players and families that we serve. During each season, the league’s Board of Directors typically puts together one fundraiser that it asks league participants and parents to be involved in to help raise money for the next park project.
In the past, fundraisers have raised from hat drops at a local supermarket, selling different goods such as candles and multi business coupon cards, and even a walk-a-thon. The last two big purchases that were made with money gained through fundraisers included the league’s current commercial mower, purchased in late 2013 and valued at more than $10,000, and new scoreboards for four of our fields that were valued at roughly $25,000 and purchased just prior to the spring 2015 season.
The next big project that Interbay Little League is planning is the construction of new batting cages. The league is still in the process of raising the necessary funds for this project. So, the next time Interbay has a fundraiser, do your best to contribute to the cause.
